Do you see the silence? Floating around the coast of Kampung Santubong was a peaceful experience. People and animals embraced nature and were living with the rhythm of day and night, earth and water. From the mangrove trees proboscis monkeys were eating only the juiciest young leaves, calmly but well enough aware of the crocodiles lounging about. The water’s surface was so even that the giggling Irrawaddy dolphins could be spotted easily. We felt part of the scenery, welcome but still guests.
