Did a workshop with Wesley Loh - the compelling portrait

My friend Martina was my model. We have known each other for two years now and I swear, I've never seen her with her hair down, it's always pinned up. We started the shooting in front of several backgrounds, both of us standing, moving, chatting. When she asked, if she should let her hair down I knew we were on the next level of trust and being at ease. The way she is driven to support the people around her she did the same with me, encouraging me to capture her portrait. The moment she let her hair loose, she opened herself up and I was allowed to recognise her inner joy of life.
