Chow Chee Yong was my Intermediate Photography class teacher in November 2013. During a photo trip to Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve in August I was lucky enough to see two crocodiles submerged in the water near a bridge. Chee Yong, a native Singaporean, couldn't believe that crocodiles live freely in his country as I told him. He asked me twice: " ... and you know lizards? Was that perhaps a monitor lizard?" I just smiled. Expats and tourists often discover more secrets of a country than locals do.
